Moo Education at Tecfa & with Tecfa

At Tecfa

Students in our postgraduate "STAF"diploma in educational technology (french documentation) get exposure to Moos.

Tecfa STAF students have to follow a basic computer training sessions before courses start (includes how to use Internet Services (www navigation, basic html, moo navigation and communication). A french description is available .
Systèmes d'Information et Communication Médiatisés par Ordinateur (STAF-14): Students are first taught basic Moo navigation and building. Then, they receive an introduction to programming with the help of some simple MOO programming exercises: see the "Introduction to MOO Programming" chapter in the TecfaMOO technical manual. Finally Ken's Tutoring Bot (see the manual above) is used for teaching regular expressions.

Bases techniques des espaces virtuels (STAF-18): Spring 1997 (a class on virtual environments, were students can optionally use MOO technology)
STAF-2x Only in fall 95: A optional 2nd year programming course. ( 1/4 Moo, 1/4 Python, 1/4 Javascript, 1/4 VRML). Content has been transferred to Staf-14 and STAF-18.
