Assessment of knowledge requirements and knowledge acquisition is part and parcel of individualised learning technologies (cf. 4.4.7). It might be interesting to explore the use of a software system like that suggested by Pierre Lvy and Michel Authier[26] involving a visual mapping of individual knowledge within a given community.
