To arrange a Conference to evaluate the prospects for the field within the European context over the next decade. The primary aim will be to bring together academics and representatives of National and Trans-European private and public enterprises and organisations, including public sphere cultural organisations, in order to identify the competences likely to be required in the workplace over the next ten years. The approach would be to establish a dialogue in which academic, intellectual and socio-political considerations would be considered alongside an assessment of employment needs.
