Generating tables of contents with XSLT

For XML files (Have to rewrite these examples at some point ...)

For XHTML files (served as xml). Works with Firefox, not with IE 6.

xhtml-toc-ns.xsl makes a TOC with XHTML files that have h1 and h2 headers. Click xhtml-sample-ns.xml to see.
xhtml-toc-ns-numbered.xsl makes a numbered TOC for XHTML files that have h1 and h2 headers. Also adds numbers to h1/h2. Click xhtml-sample-ns-numbered.xml

For XHTML files (served as xml), UGLY XSLT coding and works with IE 6/Firefox

xhtml-toc.xsl - Click xhtml-sample.xml
xhtml-toc-numbered.xsl works VERY slowly in Firefox 1.5, but ok in IE 6 and Firefox 3 for any file size. Click xhtml-sample-numered.xml

Stuff that does NOT work with XHTML files, because I didn't understand namespaces. See the comments inside the XSLT.
