By default,
where appropriate, citations are abbreviated automatically after the first
reference when bibliographies are produced by <#226#>@fontB<#224#>ib<#224#>T<#225#>E<#225#>X<#226#> .
Provision is also made for this feature to be accessed during manual coding.
This feature may be overridden by using the <#227#>#tex2html_wrap_inline352#citationmode<#227#>
command which takes <#228#>full<#228#>, <#229#>abbr<#229#> or <#230#>default<#230#> as its single
argument.
The command <#231#>#tex2html_wrap_inline354#citationmodefull<#231#> makes the system use
full citations, <#232#>#tex2html_wrap_inline356#citationmodeabbr<#232#> makes the system use
abbreviated citations and <#233#>#tex2html_wrap_inline358#citationmodedefault<#233#> causes
the default behaviour of using full citations for the first instance and
abbreviated citations thereafter.
Alternatively, the citation mode may be selected as an
<#234#>full<#234#>, <#235#>abbr<#235#> or <#236#>default<#236#>
option to the
<#237#>#tex2html_wrap_inline360#usepackage<#237#> command that invokes the <#238#>harvard<#238#>\ package.
Use of the <#239#>default<#239#> option is redundant in that, if no citation
mode option is used, that mode will be selected automatically.
