Doing It By Hand

Hand coding is accomplished much the same as described in ##latex (##latex, p.~73) except that the new command <#321#>#tex2html_wrap_inline422#harvarditem<#321#> is used in place of <#322#>#tex2html_wrap_inline424#bibitem<#322#>. The syntax of this command is
<#323#>#tex2html_wrap_inline426#harvarditem<#323#> [<#324#>abbr-citation<#324#>]<#325#>full-citation<#325#><#326#>citation-year<#326#><#327#>cite-key<#327#>
where
<#328#>abbr-citation<#328#>
is the (optional) abbreviated citation (minus the year) to be used in the text subsequent to the first mention of a particular reference,
<#329#>full-citation<#329#>
is the full citation (minus the year) to be used in the text on the first mention of a particular reference,
<#330#>citation-year<#330#>
the year portion of the citation including any suffices required to disambiguate citations, and
<#331#>cite-key<#331#>
is the key used in the <#332#>#tex2html_wrap_inline428#cite<#332#> and <#333#>#tex2html_wrap_inline430#citeasnoun<#333#> commands.
