Résumé, summary
In order to make a newspaper, the students need to select information and to organize it. The computers can be effectively used for these activities.
The software used for the activity was called "Hyper Cube." This software has 4 different applications : word processing, spread sheet and graph, painting and drawing, and data-base. The students could easily merge files created by each application.
First, the students gathered some information to be used for the newspaper articles. Some students used a questionnaire in order to receive people's opinions. Then the students learned the basic skill of how to use the software. Next, the students designed the layout of the newspapers, typed articles, drew pictures, and input photographs using the image scanner. They edited their products and printed them out using the color printer. After making the newspapers, the students read other students' newspapers and gave some feedback.
