Résumé, summary
The students exchanged some questionnaires using e-mail, and learned about different cultures. The topic for the research was about the earth 50 years later. For example, the students asked whether or not our way of living would be better 50 years later, whether or not the environment of the earth would be better 50 years later, and so on.
The students made those questionnaires using word processing software, and the teacher sent them to some schools in foreign countries. After receiving responses, the students analyzed the data and made the presentation of the results.
Some schools in the United States, Scotland, Sweden, and Australia were involved the activity. The students learned different opinions from different countries and learned about some similarities and differences in many cultures.

Pédagogie, pedagogy :
The students communicate with other students in different countries by telecommunication. They learned about other cultures using a questionnaire which can be easily sent to many countries using the electric mail system.

The students are motivated to communicate with foreign students during the telecommunication activity. Therefore, they develop their English skills very well. Moreover, they can learn about different cultures in different countries. They also learn how to analyze the information.

We used a Macintosh computer with EG-Talk and a modem in order to do the telecommunication activity. The students saved their files in the text file format and sent them to other schools in foreign countries.
Société, society :
The students made a questionnaire about the earth 50 years later. They can develop a sense of the global citizenship during the research activity.

Since the students can communicate with students in other countries whose ages are almost the same, they are highly motivated to learn about other cultures from students of the same age.

After the students made some files, the teacher sent these files to some schools in different countries. Since only the teacher had an account for the international network group, he was the only sender and receiver for the electronic mail.
