Résumé, summary
The school trip called "Graduation Trip" is a big event for teachers and students in Japan. Since most students go to different high schools, this trip is the last one which the class of the junior high school attend together.
The students showed their enthusiasm for making the trip plan. They used a data-base software called " Kiri Ver. 4" for this activity. The teacher modified the software using some photographs from books and guide books. If the students needed more detailed information, they could used a CD-ROM encyclopedia for their research.
The students made a plan with small details, such as opening times of the museums, temples, and shrines; entrance fees; their holidays; and so on. This activity was done successfully as a group activity.
The students also developed positive attitudes toward using computers.

Pédagogie, pedagogy :
Data-base activity help students' research activity. Since the students can find a great amount of information in a short time, they can concentrate on selecting the important information which can be used for their research. The teacher can also be a learner for this activity.
Apprentissage, learning :
The students received much information about Kyoto from the data-base. They had to select some important information, and had to plan their trip using the information. If the plan was well organized, the students could follow their own plan during the trip. Therefore, the students could work for the activity enthusiastically.
Enseignement, teaching :
The students can do this data-base activity spontaneously; therefore, the teacher should help the students only when they have problems about computer operations.
