Research and Pedagogy in Cyberspace II

Virtual Online University, a non-profit institution dedicated to bringing quality education to the Net, will be hosting the second in the series of Conferencing Workshops for teachers and researchers. The purpose of these workshops are for those who use or would like to utilize the vast resources of the Internet in their teaching and research activities. The focus of this series is K-12 Education. VOU operates using a MOO (Multi User Dimension, Object Orient). Specialists from around the world will direct sessions by computer conferencing on VOU's MOO at GENII Laboratory School (coyote.csusm.edu 8888). As long as you have telnet access you may actively participate in any or all of the sessions from your personal computer.

Topics are to include:

A complete list of presentors, presentations and times will be sent upon receipt of conference registration. All presentations will be given twice on separate days and times to accomodate different time zones. All times will be given in PDT/EDT/GMT. A full orientation session will be given prior to the start of the conference. All participants with limited or no MOO experience are encouraged to attend. Because all technology is not created equal, it is recommended that you visit VOU to ensure you have the capabilty to travel in cyberspace. The (low) conference fee (US check or money order-only) includes orientation, all sessions and login password and character to VOU/GENII Lab School plus session logs (whether in attendance or not).
