Larger populations and new student profiles at universities have led to the need for substantial changes in pedagogical approaches. The introduction of "in situ learning" using mutimedia techniques is an important element of these changes. The success of such projects requires teams of teachers won over to pedagogical innovations; students willing to adopt new learning methods; a specific centre for the development and implementation of such activieties; and a network of teachers for exchange, reflection and development of common learning tools at a national level.
