Online Chronicle of Distance Education and Communication

Welcome to the Online Chronicle of Distance Education and Communication now maintained by Nova Southeastern University.

You will receive two issues each year of the Online Chronicle with occasional information bulletins sent as needed. The Online Chronicle is supported by the active involvement of 16 Advisory Board members and three co-editors. The editors are from two different institutions: The University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau and Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. The Advisory Board members hail from around the world so that a multi-cultural focus is maintained.

The purpose of the Online Chronicle is to survey the field of distance education and to distill the essence of the articles, reports, research findings, case studies, conferences, and announcements in this area and to present them in 30 or 40 pages for your information. You can get a handle on what's happening in this field by reading and sharing the contents of the Online Chronicle. We already have over 2,000 direct subscribers via the Internet, making us the largest online publication today. In addition, several subscribers post the Online Chronicle to other networks (e.g., in England and Australia) where another 2,000 or 3,000 non-subscribers receive an electronic copy.

You are encouraged to request the authors of interesting articles you encounter to summarize their work in a page or less and to submit it to the Online Chronicle. You may choose to summarize and submit interesting material yourself. You may also wish to submit book reviews, announcements, requests for information, etc. Send contributions, questions, or comments to: chron@alpha.acast.nova.edu
