David J.P. OTT Research Assistant at TECFA, a research and learning unit using new (especially web-based) technologies. Right now I'm involved in a project supervising the Progetto Poschiavo, an Open and Distance Learning project. Dedicated slave to Daniel Peraya (Assistant Professor) who's doing research and teaching at TECFA Besides my job I'm doing a post-graduate degree in Educational Technologies and Learning Processes, (Diplôme STAF). To see some of my work for it check the exercise page. I've got a special interest in the psychological (cognitive, social, affective) issues of Virtual Reality (all of it).

• ...nothing really serious yet, but I wrote a paper on general cognitive issues of Computer Games (with some related psychopathological issues too) for a graduate course. You'll find a HTML version of this paper (yes it's in french! Sorry for the millions of popential readers unknowing of the joy of speaking french...). Anyway I'd be happy to receive your comments and/or to share ideas about the paper or this field of research.

Silly and not so serious...

• My interest in VR not only includes VRML or virtual textual reality but also the cool 3d action games like Duke3d or Quake. I must say that I'm fascinated by the grip those (highly) interactive games hold on the players, especially when playing in multiplayer mode. You'll find some duke3d downloadable utilities & maps
