(0) Mettez tous vos gif dans un repertoire (et rien d'autre!)

(1) Lancez xv (depuis le ugtool/Utiliataires pour X-Windows

(2) affichez un visual schnauzer (dans le menu windows)

(3) Lisez ceci:

usage: mapmaker [-nogiftrans] [-hidemaps] directory baseurl giffile mapfile

directory is the directory containing the regular size pictures.
baseurl is the prefix for the directory containing the pics.
even better, use the fixgif program to automatically deal with the schnauzer.
 
if giffile doesn't exist, mapmaker will attempt to do an xwd
dump of your visual schnauzer window, if one is present.
 
if giffile does exist, it will attempt to cut the needed
chunk of the gif, getting rid of borders and buttons and
such.  the original will be moved to giffile.orig.
 
nogiftrans should be left off in most instances, except when
your pictures happen to have the same colour as the blue
background, in which case they're become porous.
 
if you put mapfile in the same directory as your gifs, use -hidemaps
