Doing It By Hand

Hand coding is accomplished much the same as described in ##latex (##latex, p.~73) except that the new command <#766#>#tex2html_wrap_inline867#harvarditem<#766#> is used in place of <#767#>#tex2html_wrap_inline869#bibitem<#767#>. The syntax of this command is
<#768#>#tex2html_wrap_inline871#harvarditem<#768#> [<#769#>abbr-citation<#769#>]<#770#>full-citation<#770#><#771#>citation-year<#771#><#772#>cite-key<#772#>
where
<#773#>abbr-citation<#773#>
is the (optional) abbreviated citation (minus the year) to be used in the text subsequent to the first mention of a particular reference,
<#774#>full-citation<#774#>
is the full citation (minus the year) to be used in the text on the first mention of a particular reference,
<#775#>citation-year<#775#>
the year portion of the citation including any suffices required to disambiguate citations, and
<#776#>cite-key<#776#>
is the key used in the <#777#>#tex2html_wrap_inline873#cite<#777#> and <#778#>#tex2html_wrap_inline875#citeasnoun<#778#> commands.
